The Cultural and Educational Institute for Development and Research (CEIDR) at the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) is launching the “Kitab wa Hiwar” (“Book and Dialogue”) initiative — a cultural initiative aimed at promoting a reading culture, encouraging critical thinking, and transforming the book from a subject of individual reading into a space for dialogue and intellectual interaction.

The initiative is built around selecting a distinguished book each cycle and making it available for free to students and interested readers, culminating in a dialogue session that brings readers together with the author to discuss the book’s ideas and themes, and exchange questions and opinions in an interactive atmosphere.

Through this initiative, CEIDR seeks to build bridges between reader and author, encourage young people toward deep reading, help them express their ideas, and take part in discussions that enrich thought and broaden the horizons of knowledge.

The experience begins by registering to receive a copy of the book through the “Get Your Copy” section, followed by collecting the book from one of the designated MUBS branches and reading it. Participants are then invited to share their ideas, questions, and reflections through the “Share Your Thoughts” section on the same webpage, leading up to an interactive dialogue session that brings readers together with the author to discuss the book and exchange perspectives.

This step is designed to better organize the dialogue session, and to select the most notable questions and contributions that reflect readers’ interests.
